Festschrift Honoring Robert J. Russell Published
God's Action in Nature's World (Ashgate) edited by Ted Peters and Nathan Hallanger
A new festschrift honoring Robert J. Russell is now available from Ashgate publishing. God's Action in Nature's World brings together sixteen internationally-recognized scholars to assess Russell's impact on the discipline of science and religion. Focusing on three areas of Russell's work - methodology, cosmology, and divine action in quantum physics - this book celebrates Russell's contribution to the interdisciplinary engagement between the natural sciences and theology. God's Action in Nature's World was edited by Ted Peters, CTNS Board member and professor of systematic theology at the GTU, and Nathan Hallanger, a doctoral candidate at the GTU.
The book honors not only the contributions of Robert J. Russell but also the 25th anniversary of the center he founded--The Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences. CTNS will celebrate the publication of this volume along with the Center's 25th anniversary during the annual J.K. Russell Research Conference. This year's conference will feature Ted Peters and Martinez Hewlett and will be held September 14-17, 2006, in Berkeley, California.
